Sandra, an orphaned girl surviving on the streets of Maxorata, finds a backpack by the garbage containers. When she reaches for it, she notices something inside, so she opens it and discovers a Tyrannosaurus rex egg. Thinking she might be able to sell it, Sandra makes a decision that will compromise the island’s most dangerous criminal gang, causing them to lose one of their main clients. She carries the backpack to her secret hiding place, where shortly after, the egg begins to hatch before the girl’s incredulous eyes. She watches the baby Tyrannosaurus emerge and names it Titan.
